Story
Meet The Founder
Hi, I’m Morgan Mazzotta — the founder of The 302 Tutor. I launched this business in the fall of 2023 after nearly a decade of experience in the classroom.
I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education with a certification in Special Education from the University of Delaware. After graduating, I spent five years working at the Colwyck program within the Colonial School District, followed by two years teaching first grade within the same district. During that time, I worked with students of all abilities, hosted student teachers from local Vo-Tech schools as well as the University of Delaware, and led school-wide events that fostered community and student engagement. I also served as a team leader, collaborating with colleagues and administrators, while continuing to pursue professional development to stay at the forefront of effective teaching strategies.
My passion for game-based learning was sparked during the COVID-19 shutdown, when I taught virtually and had to find creative ways to keep young learners engaged and excited about learning from home. That experience showed me how powerful playful, interactive learning could be — and it’s a core part of the approach I use with students today.
In 2023, I decided to step away from public education when an opportunity arose to support my family’s business — and ultimately, to build my own. The 302 Tutor was created with a mission to help children grow academically and emotionally in a fun, supportive environment that meets them where they are, while also creating a space for other passionate educators to teach creatively, independently, and earn additional income doing what they love.

Morgan worked with my first grader on literacy skills weekly in our home. The best part was that my daughter loved her because she was so much fun! She always arrived punctual & well-prepared with planned activities and even back-up activities. You can tell that Morgan has a love for children simply after meeting her. My son is six years old and has been working with Ms.Morgan for about a year. She has been amazing! My son was struggling with reading and writing and with her help he has improved tremendously! She works with him with using games and other tools. She reviews all of his report cards and work that comes home and really focuses in on what he needs help with. We have seen such an improvement over his time with working with Ms.Morgan. She also always is helpful with home activities for me to do with him to help as well.

Morgan is absolutely amazing. We started using Morgan in the middle of our daughter being in 1st grade, continuing through the summer and plan on using her in 2nd grade too.
